Once a laundry house built in 1929, this unique space has been remodeled into a charming studio apartment that is your next place to stay in Fredericksburg! As you enter through the gate, you’ll be greeted by the ambiance of a one-of-a-kind garden wall as well as historic pieces that bring the old Wash House to life. Step inside and see the wash house theme continued with a galvanized tub as the kitchen sink with water coming from a well pump. The original woodwork is highlighted, including the timeless craftsmanship of the beams that were sturdy enough to support the former cistern overhead.

The kitchen contains all the modern necessities that you will need for a short stay, including a Keurig (with coffee pods), microwave, refrigerator, and basic dishes and utensils. Plan to enjoy all the wonderful restaurants in town, but rest assured that you’ll be able to heat up your leftovers for a midnight snack!

Take one step down into the living area which is spacious enough for a couch and coffee table on one end and a new, comfortable queen-sized bed on the other. The WiFi-enabled TV can be swiveled to enjoy from either end of the room. Log in to your own mobile TV services, or cast your favorite movie. (Yes, the microwave has a popcorn setting!)

The bathroom is adorned with antique vanity and a pedestal sink and features the original low ceiling height. Tall people beware! This puts the ceiling-mounted showerhead at a stunning 6’ 2” high. There are two generous showerheads, providing a sweet oasis after a day on the town.

When the sun sets, enjoy the evening by the fire table in your private courtyard and reminisce about the adventures of the day. Or challenge your companion to a game as you revel in the comfort of the air conditioning.

There are 2 rental units on this property, separated by a 6 1/2 foot tall privacy fence. This unit is located behind the 1929 Craftsman Charmer, the main house, and is accessed by the driveway.

*In lieu of a damage security deposit, where most companies charge over $500, and where you as the guest risk these companies not returning your damage deposit, Cozi does it differently by charging a one-time non-refundable damage waiver fee which provides up to $5000 of coverage towards unintentional rental property damages (subject to plan terms and conditions) that could occur during you and your guests stay. Plan terms and conditions will be provided to all guest reservations after the time of booking. Any charges owed by the Guest may be charged by Cozi to the Guest’s card on file in addition to seeking any relief provided by law.
