Escape to Rocking Ox Barn Cabin —this gorgeous barn cabin located just 10 minutes away from the historic downtown Fredericksburg is the perfect place to relax and unwind during a fantastic Hill Country vacation. This stunning cabin has been meticulously design to provide you the comfort and relaxation you need. From an amazing outdoor space, the Rocking Ox Cabin has all the Hill Country Views to soak and enjoy the beauty of Fredericksburg.

This beautiful property is the perfect place for a family or friends gathering, and perfect for a weekend getaway. The house is private and has 2 bedrooms with 2 King beds. This beautiful Texas home comes with a kitchenette with brand new appliances, a small dining space, and living area. In the outdoor area you will enjoy a fantastic night right from our adirondack chairs and our amazing firepit.

*Parking: Right side of the house DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE DUE TO SEPTIC SYSTEM

Easy Check-In Process
We use Happy Guest for a seamless, app-free check-in experience. Just complete your rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple refundable security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction) to receive your arrival instructions. If you'd prefer, you can opt for a Non-Refundable Damage Waiver instead, which provides coverage up to $1,500. The waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.50 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay! Note: arrival info won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped. Happy Guest is web-based and user-friendly, with all the info about the house and local spots. Awesome stay! We loved the eclectic and cozy "barn cottage" that we had. Close enough to downtown Fredricksburg but far enough away from the tourist bustle to enjoy evenings around the fire pit. Be prepared to cook on a gas grill (no stove or oven) but we loved doing just that. A bit close to the highway for noise at night from passing trucks but overall an excellent stay.

Worth every dollar. I enjoyed the sound of the cars passing by; it was soothing. It was a cozy and charming stay. Good place to unwind and just be outside watching the sun set. As hot as Texas can be, it cools rather rapidly in the evening, compared to the town. As the warning says, yes, there are some small critters that creep in. 2 crickets snuck in, a large grasshopper and a small scorpion. But then again, it comes with the territory. Just dont be walking barefoot and youll be alright. It was nice, we loved it.

We stayed here for a girls weekend and loved this adorable little “barn”. Everything math the listing online and worked perfectly for us. The location is close to the road which didn’t bother us and I didn’t hear anything while sleeping. This was a convenient location for the activities we planned. This is such a cute home to stay in and is only 8-ish minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. The fire pit was perfect to sit around and talk as the night got cooler. There is only one bathroom but it’s so big that 3 of us were able to do our hair and makeup at the same time haha. Our stay was amazing!

Our stay was amazing! If we absolutely needed anything we were able to contact Cozi and they helped us out. I definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a place just outside of town but town is just a 5 min drive.

We stayed here as a family with our kids. It was a short stay but we loved the converted barn. It was very clean, had everything we needed. The one thing that was a nice surprise and not really highlighted was the view of the sunset from the fire pit area. We loved the view of the sunset!

Such a hidden gem in Fredericksburg. We were less than 10 minutes from Main St, so we had all of the conveniences of staying in town but also the magic of a star-filled sky in a quiet space to enjoy the evenings.
