Located just a brief 10-minute drive from the historic downtown area of Fredericksburg, it provides a peaceful getaway with convenient access to the town's attractions.

The cottage's modern farmhouse charm harmonizes with the surrounding pastures, paying homage to the local cattle and reflecting the area's rural heritage. Inside, the space combines rustic elements with modern conveniences. Beautiful flooring adds a touch of elegance while creating a cozy atmosphere. Weekend trip

My fiancée and I went on a weekend trip here during the Christmas parade time and it was amazing. The cottage was very nice and very clean. We could not have been more please with the location. About 15-20 minutes from Main Street where all of the shops, restaurants, and activities are at but is also secluded for a quiet stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend that anyone else coming stays here.

I cannot say enough good things about Windmill Meadows Guest Cottages!! The cottages are decorated in a modern farmhouse vibe and very clean, bright, and so so spacious. Everything down to the showers were amazing. We were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen area had a full-size refrigrator. We really enjoyed returning from the wineries and dinner to hang out under the covered gazebo and fire pit. There’s even a couple of gas grills available. We won’t stay anywhere else in Fredericksburg. The overall experience was superb!

Had a great stay! Our rental was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed watching deer, jack rabbits and other wildlife from our deck. Wife enjoyed our romantic weekend away from the city. Would stay again.

The Holy Cow cottage was a true delightful experience! Everything was clean exactly what was pictured in the advertisement. The location was very quiet & peaceful. If in the area again, would definitely recommend & come back!

What a nice facility! We truly enjoyed our visit and would recommend this for anyone looking to get "out" from the hustle and bustle of life. This location was very clean, had all of the basic amenities you want, but also gives you an opportunity to unplug if that's what you desire. There were only two minor downsides to bring up. There needs to be a bit more seating...like a small love seat and coffee table or something, so you can use your laptop, or have a place to just sit and visit. There are two chairs, but neither was comfortable enough to want to lounge in them. The other thing that was a bit of a grind on the mind was the air unit. It is placed just above the bed, and the unit outside is directly on the same wall, but at head level when you lay in bed. When the fan kicks on, it tends to sound like a helicopter beginning to start up and then shut down. It's fairly noisy at night, and it goes on and off throughout the night as the unit tries do maintain conditions in the home. We got used to it - for the most part - but it was still something that might warrant consideration by the owners. Again, overall, this was a fantastic place to stay - and one we will likely revisit - so please know these two issues were minor issues at best and did not affect the rating choice of 5-stars. Loved it...and you will too!

Just spent out Memorial Day weekend in Holy Cow cottage and it was PERFECT ! All the amenities you could ask for , it’s just far enough from the hussle n bustle of F’burg to feel secluded and on your own . Highly recommend it and we’ll be back when in the area
