Welcome to Elm Cottage at Grapetown Cottages! A Fredericksburg Wine Country premier luxurious and modern farmhouse cottage nestled on three beautiful Texas Hill Country acres. Just right outside famous and lively downtown Fredericksburg, Texas! The outdoor spaces of this luxury Texas Hill Country oasis and retreat are a real gem and a fantastic place to create unforgettable memories and spend quality time with loved ones, family, and friends after a long day of exploring Fredericksburg's many wineries, shops, and restaurants.

This cottage is ideal for couples, intimate weekend getaways, retreats, and special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays. We look forward to you and your special someone being able to immerse yourselves into this property's stunning hill country and hilltop views, gorgeous oak trees, abundant wildlife and scenery, beautiful night sky and stars!

Elm Cottage is a luxury studio with a king bed that features a farmhouse kitchen, dining table for two, a SmartTV, and a private full bath with a walk-in shower and elegant farmhouse soaking tub. Additionally, the cottage has a great outdoor deck and patio perfect for your morning coffee or your evening glass of wine or cocktail.


This rental only includes Elm Cottage for up to 2 individuals. On the same property is Oak Cottage. This is an additional private cottage that may or may not be rented during your rental of Elm Cottage for no more than six individuals. Oak Cottage has its own facilities. It is private and not included in your rental of Elm Cottage. We ask you to treat any potential guests of Oak Cottage with respect and kindness.

*Grapetown Cottages-Elm does have WIFI; however it is not a strong connection and may be spotty.

Easy Check-In Process
We use Happy Guest for a seamless, app-free check-in experience. Just complete your rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple refundable security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction) to receive your arrival instructions. If you'd prefer, you can opt for a Non-Refundable Damage Waiver instead, which provides coverage up to $1,500. The waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.50 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay! Note: arrival info won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped. Happy Guest is web-based and user-friendly, with all the info about the house and local spots. This was a great place to stay! It seems like it’s a bit of a drive to the Main Street, it’s not really but the winding road made it feel that way. The scenery was well worth it. The size of this place was perfect for us. The street was surprisingly busy for where we were but didn’t stop us from enjoying the area. I read reviews about the smell of the water, that didn’t occur during my visit. We sat outside and enjoyed everything. Saw some deer in the evening time. I would rent here again!

We went to spend a mini honeymoon. It was beautiful. We went to Fredericksburg to shop and spent evenings in. Kitchen is was furnished with all we’d need even some fun games. Peaceful and essential to relax..

We did awake to a little (scorpion) friend in the sink but hey it’s the hill country.. Just remember to always watch your surroundings.

The Elm was a perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Super close to Fredericksburg, near some great hiking (check out Predernales Falls State Park!), and completely idyllic. Great place to watch the stars at night. We also saw a good bit of wildlife which was fun. And you’re right down the road from Old Tunnel State Park and a million bats! The little cabin was clean, the king bed was comfy, and there’s a wonderful shower. Very highly recommend

I do not have enough words to describe the wonderful time we had at our stay with Cozi Vacation Rentals in Fredericksburg, Texas. We stayed at Grapevine Cottages - Elm, and first of all the location was perfect - out in the country surrounded by Mother Nature in all her glory. It was quiet and peaceful, too. We were only about 15 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg which was very convenient. the cottage was so cute - perfect for two people and it was supplied with everything needed. It was clean and if we needed anything (which we didn't), but if we did the Cozi Vacation Rentals were very responsive - always checking up on us. This is an absolutely AMAZING & BEAUTIFUL vacation spot! Its secluded enough to enjoy the country side and wildlife! The inside is perfect for a couple to enjoy an anniversary or birthday getaway. The bathroom is luxurious with a big tub to soak in and an open shower to rinse off in. The bed is super comfy (we had a hard time getting up early because of how comfy it was). It is definitely worth the money if you truly want to be secluded away.

Great place to stay if you want an out in the country experience away from the city! The place was super cozy and the bed was amazing! The tub is so beautiful to soak in after a day hiking. But there is also a great walk in shower. The cottage does provide a grill and fire pit but try to make sure you check with the host to see if there is still a fire ban in the county. Other than that a full kitchen allows you to still cook whatever you’d like. Would definitely come back here again. I highly recommend!

The Elk Cottage is a very cute and cozy place. It is perfectly sized for a couple on a weekend get away. It is out in the country were you get the secluded feeling you may be looking for but is also close to town, were a dinner out is not to long of a drive. 5 Stars doesn’t even begin to cover this hidden gem! We loved everything about our stay and the cabin! From the style, the decor, and all the small details the host obviously took time on to make you feel at home. There is something about this place that invokes a certain feeling of relaxation and coziness that just melts your stress and worries away. The bathroom is gorgeous and the tub and shower are amazing! For someone who loves the smell of cedar the bathroom was heaven! The cabin was immaculate and everything you needed was there. Also, the bed is super comfortable! Which is not always the case in rentals. It was a lovely surprise! The location is great with it being just far enough outside of town that you truly get the peace and quiet of the area and the view of the stars are beyond spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend the Elm cottage for any type of getaways in the hill country you have planned! Such a beautiful and lovely place!
