For your next escape to the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, book a stay at The Nest Cottage— a lovely one-bedroom oasis surrounded by acres of peach orchards and vineyards. Small in size but big on comfort, The Nest is the perfect spot for a couple or small family. Quiet and peaceful, yet only 10 minutes away from all the excitement of historic downtown Fredericksburg, The Nest will quickly become your new favorite happy place in the countryside.

A quaint brick pathway leads up to the front door of The Nest. Once inside, a soaring vaulted ceiling adds a feeling of spaciousness to the cozy space. On one side of the room, a luxurious king-size bed sits between two side tables with reading lamps. An additional queen-size air mattress can be provided upon request.

At the foot of the bed are two sumptuous, upholstered armchairs flanking a modern glass side table. Both the armchairs and the bed face the mounted flatscreen television, providing plenty of seating options for a movie night in with some popcorn. In the corner, the stone fireplace crackles and glows and removes the chill from those crisp Texas nights.

The huge, spa-inspired bathroom includes a giant soaking tub and a separate step-in shower. A chic vessel sink sits on a giant slab of marble to create a stylish vanity, and the toilet is conveniently located in a separate water closet. The small yet efficient kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, sink, microwave, and a coffeemaker.

The Nest is tucked into the perfectly named Starry Night village and surrounded by lush, rolling countryside and beautiful, panoramic views. The back patio includes a barbecue for grilling out and an alfresco dining table. In the mornings, this is an ideal spot to sip a mug of coffee while the sun rises. Then in the evenings, you’ll want to indulge in some locally-grown wine while stars twinkle high above. At The Nest, you can enjoy the complete peace and quiet of the Texas Hill Country, while never being more than a few minutes away from shopping, dining, and wine tasting.

This was a very nice relaxing place to stay. Its about a 8-10 min drive to the heart of Fredericksburg and is in a very peaceful setting. if your looking for somewhere that is very quiet yet close to the city center this is it! Check in was easy, but you cannot check in even a minute early, when it says 4pm it means it! Great stay!

A wonderful place with a great view. we had the place to ourselves, there are 4 other rentals on the property but they were not rented. we stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of wildlife including deer in the morning and afternoon. Everything functions as it should and extremely clean. communication was great. Would definitely stay again.

It’s a beautiful, little romantic getaway. Just far enough outside Fredericksburg so that you don’t have to deal with crowds but close enough that it’s barely a drive to get to downtown. The only downside you might wanna be aware of is that there’s no DoorDash/UberEats/etc. If you want to eat something, you’ll either have to bring it (no stove, though) or go out to one of the restaurants (of which there are plenty).

Lovely cottage with romantic amenities. Spacious, comfortable bed, big bathroom, and easy to use fireplace. Pleased to find that the chairs pictured on line had been replaced with a couch, making seating around the fireplace more cozy. I loved the scenery, and peacefulness, that the more secluded location provided, approximately 7 miles outside of town. I think my wife would have preferred something in town for the convenience factor, so keep that in mind. The only problem I had with the location was that after locating it the first time using GPS, I thought I didn't need my GPS for future returns to the property, only to discover that "Cherry Mountain Loop" has two marked turnoffs from the highway, providing a bit of a challenge, so word of advice there. Also, after entering the private gate, there is a short, inclined, gravel road leading to the cottages, which a country boy like me saw as no problem, my more city oriented wife thought there should have been a paved entrance. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay immensely. There are two other cottages, but other than seeing the vehicles, we never knew they were there. All the kitchen amenities were great, just keep in mind there is no stovetop. There is also no cable, so be prepared to use your personal logins for streaming services. The WiFi connection worked great, as did our cell service. From the time we arrived, the fireplace was already turned on, until the time we left, we felt very welcomed, comfortable, pampered, and safe. If you are looking for a 4 to 5 star experience, with a secluded feel, this is the place for you.

It's an easy drive to town and you see lots of wildlife near the property - sheep, deer, goats, etc. The property also has a ton of butterflies.

My husband and i went for his 50th birthday. We had an amazing time. Cottage was extremely clean and the outside views were beautiful. Only 10 minutes from fredericksburg. This place was excellent! All three of the casitas were occupied, but they are spaced out enough that we never heard or saw the occupants, so privacy was never an issue. The bath tub was very relaxing. I'm 6'3" and fit comfortably. The owners were responsive. only a 15min drive to Main Street and 25min to most of the wineries outside Fredericksburg. Everything was convenient, clean, and made for our convenience. We would definitely stay here again

We had the best stay at The Nest Cottage. It was extremely clean, packed with everything you could possibly need, the bed and pillows were so comfy and check in was easy. We also loved the location. It’s an easy and short 10 minute drive from Main St. But far enough away to feel like you’re out in the country. It’s so peaceful and the views are amazing!!!

The only down side to our trip was that a cover was being built over the community grill (which pictures show a grill on every porch). So the metal sawing started at 8 am our first morning there and it was a little awkward trying to have coffee out on the back porch In the mornings with men working feet away. We also couldn’t grill like planned due to them building our whole stay.

But it is what it is...unfortunately it was being done during our stay. But we’re still looking forward to our next visit and seeing the new covered area! It’ll just add to the awesomeness.

The Nest will definitely now be our go to every time we visit the hill country.

Just returned from a 4 day/3 night stay at this beautiful little cottage. The location was great. Peaceful and secluded. It is more or less about 8 miles away from downtown Fredericksburg. The hosts were fantastic; very accommodating and communication was fast. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat after a day full of activities, I would highly recommend staying here.

Best place we’ve stayed in a rental property. Very clean inside, big open living room/bedroom area, and huge bathroom. About 15 minutes from Main Street, but we loved it being away from the city and having more of a country feel. Will definitely stay here when coming to fredericksburg from now on.

Our stay at The Nest was truly amazing. You can tell there was a lot of thought that went into making sure you feel at home. Every small touch just kept us smiling! My 6’4 husband loved the tall shower, high mirror and deep tub! When we found a moment of down time, we were impressed to find a few games to play; such a “small” detail that made our visit PERFECT. This was mine and my husband's 2nd time to stay at this lovely little cottage and it always exceeds our expectations. The furnishings are beautiful and the home is exactly as pictured. Very nice comfortable bed with luxury linens, plush towels and robes - no detail has been missed! We love the peace and quiet of being outside of town and the view is awesome. We enjoyed our stay at The Nest so much we extended it by another day! This is a perfect vacation cottage. We loved sitting on the patio at night, enjoying ,the peace , the breeze and looking at the view. The cottage is the ideal size for a couple, and it's clean, comfortable and fresh. We appreciated the short drive into Fredericksburg, but once we were in Cherry Mountain it felt like a wonderful break from town/ city life with fresh air, mountain breezes and no noise apart from the cicada!

This location and stay was to by far the best experience for us in Fredericksburg in terms of cleanliness, vibe, amenities and overall ambiance. The Nest Cottage is very updated and modern furniture and decorations, and has everything you need for a getaway. Susan was very kind to us and was able to get us into a winery despite Covid. The winery was allowed to have reserved guests by being able to purchase bottles of wines and picnic baskets. Without Susan telling us this we would have just been confined to the downtown area of Fredericksburg so it was really sweet for her to recommend this to us. We will def seek this cottage out for our next stay!

My husband and I just spent a weekend in “The Nest,” one of the three Cherry Mountain Cottages on this property. This lovely little cottage was exactly as advertised — beautifully furnished, spacious, bright, and private with a wonderful Hill Country view. Although it’s just about ten minutes from downtown Fredericksburg it feels as if you are miles away. The owners (Susan and Steve) made us feel welcome and have anticipated their guests every need. I almost hate to recommend it for fear it won’t be available the next time we visit.

Susan's attention to detail at the "Nest Cottage" made this a wonderful experience for my wife and I. The furnishings inside are modern yet cozy. The landscape around the cottage is plush with butterfly attracting wild flowers and plants. The view from the back porch of the nest cottage looks down on an adjacent field of longhorn cattle. There was always a breeze at the cottage due to its elevation on top of a hill. We planned to eat at restaurants in Fredericksburg but we chose instead to grill steaks and burgers on the back porch grill and enjoy the surroundings. The cottage on the hill is a great place to observe the stars because there are very few light sources in the area. We look forward to returning for another visit.

This cottage was the perfect setting for my wife and I's weekend. Very clean and well maintained. We booked the Nest for an anniversary getaway... And loved every minute!!! First, the hosts were a pleasure to deal with, and very thoughtful. They made us feel welcome before we even walked in the door of this glorious little cottage! The grounds are beautiful and tranquil, with three adorable cottages all nestled around a gazing ball fountain. We liked the fact that this cottage was a few miles outside of town due to the quiet solitude it offered. The cottage itself is beautiful, well appointed and very comfortable. We have already recommended it to friends, and we have not even checked out yet!!! We can't wait to come back!!! I can't imagine a better getaway spot in Fredericksburg- it's absolute perfection!!!

My sister and I shared the Nest Cottage for a girls winery trip and we could not have picked a better place to stay! It is very quiet with only 2 other cottages as neighbors. We were surprised to find sweet little amenities like a cheese and grape platter in the fridge which was also stocked with some drinks. There are plenty of kitchen utensils and stuff for grilling your own food while there. It is very modern, which is hard to find in this area of town, so we were very happy and comfortable. I will definitely recommend this house to others and only stay here when I return!

Staying in this cottage made our experience in Fredericksburg even more amazing! It is the perfect retreat on a beautiful piece of property overlooking the Hill Country, yet close enough to town that you never feel too far removed. The amenities were modern, clean and incredibly cozy. After a full day of wineries, it was so relaxing to come back to the jacuzzi tub, spa robes and sit by the fire. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nest. Susan was an excellent host. The description of the property was perfect. We enjoyed our meals on the back patio watching the butterflies and hummingbirds and longhorns. The fireplace was a nice touch on chilly mornings and the jacuzzi bathtub was great for tired muscles after our bicycle rides. Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. While it is a short drive out of town (less than 10 minutes), it is a very easy drive and so peaceful and quiet when you get out there.

We came here looking for a quiet place to rest after a very busy 3 weeks. And that is what we found. The cottage was nicely furnished and had all we required.
Sitting on the back patio with a glass of wine in the evening, just relaxing, was the highlight of each day.

Secluded but close enough to Fredericksburg to go into town for breakfast, lunch or just to walk around.

All in all. Just what we were looking for in a retreat.










Perfect getaway

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Nest last weekend and it was the perfect getaway. We wanted to be close enough to Fredricksburg that we could run back to the cottage if we needed to change before dinner after shopping and site seeing. This place was just that for us. The quiet serene hill country was breathe taking. Sadly it was cold and rained throughout our entire stay, but that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. The fire place warmed us up each night as we got back in and Susan was sweet enough to leave us a towel on our porch to dry our feet. This cottage was so comfortable. Everything from the sheets, linens, and even bath robes were beyond soft. The soap even smelled heavenly. These owners really take care of their guests. We had a sweet anniversary card waiting on us when we checked in, along with a mini fridge stocked with cheese and crackers and water bottles. My husband and I can't wait to go back and stay at the same cottage!

My husband and I visited the nest cottage for our 10th anniversary. It really was stunning. Everything is updated, fresh, and the bed was probably the most comfortable bed we had ever slept on! My wife and I came to the Nest for our 2nd anniversary. We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised! It's a nice place that is just far enough away from Fredericksburg that you feel away from it all, but it's also a very short drive into town. We especially liked the comfortable bed, the shower and jacuzzi tub, and the view from our back door. The owners are very nice and put a lot of thought into this cottage. We look forward to returning soon!

The Nest was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again. It is located in an area of working farm land so we seen goats,cows, and chickens daily and plenty of deer. Just beautiful. We loved it.

My husband and I spent the weekend in The Nest and it was the perfect place to have a restful, memorable weekend. The accommodations were beautiful, bed so comfortable and the spa bathroom wonderful! Plus having coffee provided with coffee maker were greatly appreciated!

A Wonderful and Relaxing Place!

The cottages were amazing! They were clean, well appointed and very new. The beds were extremely comfortable with great linens and excellent pillows. The cottage had a beautiful view and was very relaxing. The owners seemed to have thought of everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They were there any time we had a need, but stayed to their area of the property unless called. The location was close enough to town to be convenient, while being out in the country enough for our taste in a peaceful and pretty place to stay. My wife and I agree that we could not recommend this place more highly. We look forward to returning during warmer months to enjoy better weather and more time outdoors. Give them a try!

I wanted a place to get away and spend quality time with my husband and we were more than pleased with Cherry Street cottages. The location was amazing. They are located on a hilltop with amazing views and close to downtown Fredericksburg but far enough to enjoy the serenity of nature. We stayed in The Nest Cottage and my favorite part was having the blinds open and looking out the window. The scene was like a portrait. The cottage was comfortable, clean and beautiful. Susan, the owner, was incredibly accommodating. We definitely recommend it and would come again.

What an exquisite place to stay! My husband and I arrived after a day of visiting some of the area wineries, and felt like we had just won the lottery. I found The Nest at Cherry Mountain Cottages after researching several different rentals because I was looking for the perfect place to surprise my husband for his 40th birthday........mission accomplished!

The cottage was beautifully decorated with yellows and grays and created a very spa-like setting. We even had an opportunity that evening and in the morning to use the gas fireplace which only made the cottage even more cozy and relaxing. The bathroom had a wonderful jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and there were even fluffy robes in the closet for us to use if we wanted.

There was a delicious cheese tray with grapes, pecans, and crackers in the refrigerator for us to snack on, and a Keurig coffee maker equipped with various coffees and teas to make our morning even more perfect.

You won't go wrong if you choose Cherry Mountain Cottages for your stay in Fredericksburg. We're just trying to figure out how soon we can get back!!!!

AMAZING Third Anniversary!!!!

My husband and I decided to book a quick trip to Fredericksburg for our third anniversary. We let Susan know we were there celebrating and as soon as we arrived, we knew we picked the perfect cottage to stay. When you arrive, there are three cute cottages with a beautiful fountain in the middle. When we walked into 'The Nest', we found a yummy plate of cheese along with a sweet card welcoming us and congratulating us on our anniversary. We even had a heart made of rose petals left on the bed for us!!!!

The location of the cottage was also perfect. Just 10 minutes from town. It was actually super nice being in the country compared to in town. The cottage itself was modern, yet super cozy. We used the gas fireplace every night. The Jacuzzi tub was fantastic. They also use all bath products from The Herb Farm in town. I highly recommend visiting that place as well, especially for breakfast!!! Also, we sat outside on the back porch for our morning coffee every morning. It was gorgeous seeing the sunrise. Oh and I can't say enough about the beds and pillows. I mean, it felt like we were sleeping on clouds.

Overall, I give this cottage and Susan the highest recommendation! Susan even texted me before we arrived and after we left to make sure we had a great stay. I mean, that's fantastic customer service!!! My husband and I will definitely be coming back! Thanks again Susan for a FABULOUS anniversary trip!!! Everything was perfect!
