Located near the shores of beautiful Canyon Lake— the jewel of Texas Hill Country— Lavaca House is a pristine three-bedroom bungalow in a quiet, serene neighborhood. This modern bungalow boasts an open floor plan, covered back deck, and lush green space. Close to lots of water recreation activities, a par 72 golf course, beautiful hiking trails, and tons of delicious restaurants— there’s something for everyone here.

The Lavaca House offers an open and spacious living room and dining room, making it the perfect space for amazing dinner and cocktail nights! The kitchen comes fully stocked with plate ware, flatware, serving platters, glassware including wine glasses galore, and other little necessities for those wishing to dine in. The spacious bedrooms offer luxury bedding and mattresses that provide an optimal and comfortable night’s sleep after the long days of enjoying Canyon Lake.

Easy Check-In Process
We use Happy Guest for a seamless, app-free check-in experience. Just complete your rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple refundable security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction) to receive your arrival instructions. If you'd prefer, you can opt for a Non-Refundable Damage Waiver instead, which provides coverage up to $1,500. The waiver is $62.54 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.50 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay! Note: arrival info won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped. Happy Guest is web-based and user-friendly, with all the info about the house and local spots. Had a scorpion in my shower but this is not unusual for the hill country. Also wanted access to the garage for storing my dirty equipment overnight but instead had to bring it inside the house to secure it properly. As always, I think all the extra fees are excessive.

Beds were comfortable. Bathroom and kitchens very nice. Back porch was pleasant for sitting on and enjoying coffee in the morning. TVs in room were big. The house felt very open and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative was lack of places to eat nearby. Had to drive at least 20-30 minutes away for options. Also no shower amenities provided (shampoo,soap,etc). Neither of those negatives were deal breakers. The location to the lake more than made up for it!

This house was very clean and comfortable. They provided lighter blankets for the hot Texas summer nights. There were plenty of towels, pans, utensils, etc. We cooked every night we were there and bbq'd twice and it felt like we were at home. The location was very peaceful and within 30 mins of all the major attractions in the area.

The house was great! It has either been very recently refurbished or built....so everything was clean and fresh, from furniture to floors to paint, etc.

We would definitely rent this home again. We loved that it had two beds in the 3rd bedroom rather than bunk beds, which a lot of rentals seem to have. For a houseful of 70+ years "old" women, this worked out great for us.

We had a wonderful stay at this location. It was just as described. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. The backyard was big enough for our kiddos to run around. We enjoyed the games provided, such as connect four and ring toss. The location is accessible to many attractions and the grocery store is only 5 min away.

This place is amazing. The inside is beautiful and it was very clean. My family made it home for a week and we had no issues. The property is quiet and serene and has everything you need. I would say that the property does rob you of views to the backyard and I wished we were able to enjoy it more without having to go outside. The customer service was excellent and responsive!
