Discover your perfect Hill Country getaway in our charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin. Each bedroom offers a tranquil retreat with cozy beds, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to prepare delicious meals, while the inviting living area provides a cozy space to unwind. Step outside onto the spacious deck to soak in the stunning natural surroundings. After a day of exploring, relax in the private hot tub under the stars. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape or a fun-filled family vacation, this cabin promises a perfect blend of comfort and scenic beauty.
Easy Check-In Process
We use Happy Guest for a seamless, app-free check-in experience. Just complete your rental agreement, ID verification, and a simple refundable security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction) to receive your arrival instructions. If you'd prefer, you can opt for a Non-Refundable Damage Waiver instead, which provides coverage up to $1,500. The waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.50 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. It’s simple: finish these steps, and you’re all set to enjoy your stay! Note: arrival info won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped. Happy Guest is web-based and user-friendly, with all the info about the house and local spots. The place was spotless, and the hosts were responsive. The cabin was charming and peaceful. We enjoyed the fire pit.
We had a bit of trouble finding the place— the address that was provided did not match the address of our exact cabin, which caused some confusion. Just look for “Opal House” on the sign rather than the street number.
Additionally, upon arrival the hot tub water was murky and had a musty stench. We texted the hosts, and they sent someone over promptly to help correct the problem. Sadly after he refilled the water, it didn’t reheat in time for us to enjoy the hot tub. That part was a bummer. Overall would recommend.

Exactly as pictured! Very clean! Very cozy, welcoming and comfortable! Country setting but close to town/conveniences. Well stocked with cookware/utensils. We definitely appreciated all that as we arrived right as the recent ice storm hit. Had a bit of an issue with the heating/internet at first but they quickly rectified. No complaints as this was weather related and understandable. Would definitely recommend this place and would visit again!

This was our hastily booked base camp for moving our daughter for a new job in Fredericksburg. We would definitely come back for a more leisurely stay. The cabin is exactly as pictured. It is a perfect location for heading out to Fredericksburg, Comfort, and the surrounding areas. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, well appointed kitchen, comfortable living space, and covered front porch would provide a great spot for traveling friends to head back to after a fun day.
