Escape to Shady Lane Lodge— a dazzling luxury log cabin sitting secluded on three acres in the heart of Texas Hill Country. With space for 16 spread out over 3500 exquisite square feet and a separate garage game room, Shady Lane Lodge has enough space for the whole family. Plus, it's wheelchair accessible. Located just two miles from town, you'll enjoy the calm serenity of this remote-feeling location while still being close to the shopping, dining, and entertainment of bustling Main Street Fredericksburg.
The rustic log cabin façade of Shady Lane Lodge is reminiscent of a classic Texas farmhouse, surrounded by mature shade trees and acres of picturesque countryside. Once inside, the entire home is finished with charming knotty pine paneling. A double-sided stone fireplace anchors the soaring vaulted ceilings in the living area in the center of the room. Sun-kissed skylights allow the natural light to flow in and highlight the leather sofas, plush armchairs, and large HDTV.
On the other side of the fireplace is the farmhouse dining table with seating for six—a peninsula bar with seating for four leads into the bright and pristine kitchen. Natural wood cabinets continue the rustic vibe, while sparkling granite countertops and high-end appliances add chic and modern convenience. Brew a pot of coffee in the mornings, warm some blueberry muffins, and let your whole crew linger here while you discuss the day's upcoming adventures.
The primary suite on the main floor is entirely accessible and features a sumptuous king-size bed, HDTV, and a leather armchair. The en-suite bathroom has a double marble vanity and a zero-edge step-in shower with handrails, a bench, and multiple showerheads. The second guest bedroom also includes a king-size bed and HDTV. Another full bathroom has a tub/shower combo surrounded by unique, artistic tiles. The main floor consists of a spacious laundry room with a washer, two high-efficiency dryers, and a sink.
A lofted catwalk overlooking the living area below leads to the third and fourth bedrooms on the second floor. The third bedroom has two queen-size beds wrapped in vintage-inspired, colorful quilts. The attached bathroom has a step-in shower with elegant subway tiles. The fourth bedroom also features two queen-size beds.
The detached, two-car garage has been transformed into the most fabulous game room you've ever seen. A large leather sectional sofa faces the flatscreen television, creating the perfect spot to catch the game with a couple of cold beers. There's a regulation-size pool table, too— for challenging your crew to a game or two. Knotty pine walls and rugged metal paneling on the ceiling give the game room a laid-back, rustic style. Outside, a fire pit is surrounded by colorful, comfortable Adirondack chairs— a perfect spot to sip some wine and stargaze.
Shady Lane Lodge is designed to easily accommodate large groups of friends and family. You'll all be able to stay close together yet still have plenty of space to spread out. When you're ready to explore the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, vineyards, horseback riding, and hiking are nearby. Plus, the excitement and charm of downtown Fredericksburg— only two miles from your door.

This was such a beautiful airbnb! It was clean, spacious, had all the listed amenities, and had a fantastic garage game room setup. The pictures were an accurate reflection of the home and property. It was the perfect distance from Fredericksburg to feel like you were out in the country while still being a short drive from main street. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Back off the beaten path but only 7 minutes from town, this was an awesome choice, and with a pool table, darts, corn hole, fire pit, etc. even if you want to stay at the house, there is plenty to do.

Our stay was great! Cozy was very communicative and made our check-in process super easy.
Our group of twelve fit perfectly. The game room was a hit with adults and kids, as was the hot tub. It's June in Texas, so using the firepit wasn't really practical, but the seating area around it was a nice spot to sit around and chat after the sun went down. We cooked in several times and found the space large enough for everyone to pitch in. The accessible shower was great, but the shower heads did lack a bit of pressure.
If anyone in your group struggles with knee issues, make sure to take into consideration that the stairs leading to the second-floor bedrooms are quite steep. That being said, we were able to make it work for us by assigning bedrooms accordingly.
The only amenity this property is missing (in our humble opinion) is a swimming pool (no pool was advertised, this is just an amenity that we thought would take the property to the next level).
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this place again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin! We were a group of 10 and had ample room. There was a cold front the weekend we were there but thankfully the game room was warm and had so many fun games for us. Downtown Fredericksburg was also pretty close by; it was nice to feel away from town but still about 3 min to town. Highly recommend this house for family or group of friends.

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a beautiful cottage with spacious rooms. All amenities were updated . Game room was a wonderful addition to the property. Easily sleeps a large party of 8-10 people. TV, Wi-Fi, hot tub, fire pit, rocking chairs…and very close to Fredericksburg downtown. We did not take pets but I saw pet bowls in the laundry room & will certainly be bringing my family and fur babies here in the future.

Amazing property

We had a great weekend at this beautiful house. The location was very convenient to Fredericksburg and the wineries. Everything was clean and inviting. The only thing we would say that was less than perfect was the coffee maker was very slow, and there were no dish towels in the kitchen. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Great spaces to enjoy visiting with family and friends both inside and outside. House is just as pictured! We had a great time, beds were comfortable and lots on nice amenities including hot tub, fire pit, and game room/bar area. Our family and I really enjoyed this property, there was so much to do and our kids were never bored. It is also pet friendly, which is a major plus is our book because our pets are our family too. The property managers were very prompt if we had any questions and the inside of the house was in immaculate condition. We did have a minor issue with the garage AC for the game room, but that was the only “issue” with the property. We would definitely recommend!!!

Shady Lane was absolutely wonderful! The house was very comfortable and cozy, garage was a great place to hang out and property itself was peaceful. Location is great and a short drive to town and wineries on 290. The beds were super comfy and closet space was great! Any time we had a question or needed something, the response was super quick and resolved. We had a large group of ladies so mirror availability was a bit of a challenge, but that’s an easy fix. Aside from that, we loved our stay and would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful clean home, all of our needs were met, and the Cozi team checked in with us several times and were easy to reach. Beds were comfortable, tons of space, and the gameroom was bomb! The kids loved it! Technology was up to date, great TVs and sound in all rooms. 10 minutes from all activities and peacefulness of the country. Would love to stay again!

Bummer... we had to turn back to Houston as the weather continued to deteriorate and temps dropped below freezing while driving in which was best considering everything we experienced here in Houston. The place looks awesome (the game room in particular) and we received a great price on the new listing but nonetheless will have to reschedule do to extenuating circumstances. It was a bit frustrating at first dealing with both the host and Airbnb trying to understand our options as our reservation already started but once we got to the right people who were trained to deal in these types of circumstances (Vivian and Karen) it was smooth sailing from there and reinforces our confidence in both the host (Cozi) and Airbnb for future trips.

Something for everyone!

We wanted to have a family getaway since we were conservative with social distancing around the holidays. This property has everything you need to stay indoors , the game room was where we bunkered down and had a blast with the kiddos and adults. Something for everyone. Pool,TV,games galore, and plenty seating outside to make a fire- weather didn’t cooperate but we did get to enjoy a little the first night. Still needs some kitchen items , bring a good couple knives and platters -I usually bring those anyway to any of the properties we stay at. So for us. Not a big deal. Would definitely stay again!!

The place is amazing. House is full of amenities and really well equipped and decorated with style.
Kitchen has everything you need if you like cooking/baking. The house is big enough for sharing with friends, every room has a TV and access to a bath-room (except for one) and the exterior is gorgeous, you can see deers in the property!
Barbacue, fire pit and a game room!!!! You do not really need to leave the property if you don’t want you. Also, nice routes for biking around or walking.
